Clothing Center Assistant

Clothing Center Assistant

Community Action Coalition for South Central Wisconsin, Inc. [CAC]

Assist CAC's staff in running their free clothing center, a free thrift store for individuals and families who are impoverished. Shoppers must earn less than 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. For a single person that is less than $14,000 per year. CAC's Clothing Center aims to reduce the stress of poverty by offering what we consider basic human necessities for safety and security. We hope to bring hope and dignity to everyone that leaves our center. CAC's Clothing Center serves over 9,000 low-income individuals and families each year. We provide seasonally appropriate clothing for school, work, home, as well as job interviews. All of the clothing is provided through generous donations from the community and the Clothing Center is run entirely by volunteers!

The Mission of CAC is to develop economic and social capacities of individuals, families and communities to reduce poverty in Dane, Jefferson and Waukesha Counties.
