Elementary After School Program Aide

Lussier Community Education Center

Volunteers will assist our free after school program serving a diverse group of elementary-aged students. Volunteers will support our vision for youth programs at LCEC to prepare our youth to be college and career ready. Activities will include homework and academic support, participating with kids in partnership programs (theater, dance, art, health and wellness, mindfulness, etc.), joining the group for field trips when possible, helping to prepare snacks and meals, and other fun activities. Volunteers are encouraged to share their skills and talents and are welcome (and encouraged!) to take a leadership role in the planning and implementation of programming.

Our mission at the Lussier Community Education Center is to build community, create opportunities, and enrich education. At the LCEC, we envision drawing in generations of community members from all walks of life to take care of one another and create a more just, healthy, and vibrant community. Our programs and services include afterschool and summer camp programs for youth grades elementary through high school, a food pantry, employment placement, community & senior meals, a jobs training center, and much more.
