Schools of Hope Tutor

Schools of Hope - Sherman Middle School

During the school day, tutors work one-on-one or in small groups (two to three) with students in the classroom to help them understand their school work and complete assignments. After school, volunteers can tutor in Academic Clubs as well as assist in engaging students in fun clubs and activities.

The goal of Schools of Hope is to lower the achievement gap for students of color in the Madison Metropolitan School District. We provide volunteer tutors and mentors to work with students on their academics, engage them in after school activities, and help them to foster positive relationships.
