Discovery Field Trip and Lab Management Assistant

Be a part of the field trip programming at the Discovery Building by helping to facilitate science activities for K-12 students in school groups. Assist in leading field trips on a variety of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) topics and help to prepare for field trips. Training and teaching support will be provided. On dates when Field Trip groups are not scheduled, BV's will assist the Discovery Connections team in tasks related to science event preparation and lab management. Duties include routine cleaning and organizing the lab and storage spaces, restocking and organizing science activity kits and materials, preparing for future activities, working with other volunteers and support staff, and other tasks as assigned. Training and support will be provided. Occasionally, shifts will be located at local community schools or will involve walking with students to other campus buildings. Transportation process and locations will be communicated accordingly.

To foster science literacy among regional K-12 students through innovative campus and community partnerships.
