Ready for a change of pace from your typical day at the UW? Under the direction of a Food Security Manager, help meet the changing needs of running a food pantry and clothing center by leading and/or participating in volunteer projects. The ideal Badger Volunteers will be flexible and willing to work on projects that may vary from week to week and will be ready for active physical tasks.
MOM brings our community together to create food and housing security through action and advocacy. Because what we eat, where we live, and our connection to community are key determinants of well-being and health, MOM focuses on providing access to these resources for people in our community. MOM hosts one of the largest food pantries in Dane County and provides case management, referrals, housing stability assistance, and special programs for seniors. Thanks to generous community support and partnership, MOM serves over 4,000 individuals each year.
