Museum Fellow

Madison Children's Museum

Are you an artist or crafter? Do you work with animals or love to garden? Ever wonder what it's like to run in a human-size gerbil wheel? The Madison Children's Museum is looking for enthusiastic and engaging volunteers. This position is for those individuals who are interested in volunteering in our Art Studio, Rooftop Ramble, Wildernest, Wonderground, or Possible-opolis exhibit spaces. Museum Fellows in all spaces are given the opportunity to explore their own skills and interests, from helping out behind the scenes, to creating and helping with original programming. Volunteers must consent to a background check, and will attend orientation and training at Madison Children's Museum.

At Madison Children’s Museum children are the center of our work. We encourage their fullest potential as artists, scientists, inventors, naturalists, explorers, and, above all, empathetic global citizens. We strive to create a community hub that takes into account the opportunities and challenges of our locale, where all children, and the adults in their lives, feel welcomed, valued, connected, and included. We embrace and live the ideals of Access, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for all as a foundation for institutional excellence.
