 Global Spouse Circle's Volunteers

Madison International Partners/Christ Presbyterian Church

Global Spouse Circle is a program that helps lonely spouses and partners of international students and visiting scholar to practice their English, learn about American culture, connect with the Madison community, and make new friends. We need conversation partners who can befriend those spouses, help them practice English and answer some of the questions they have about living in Madison and in the US. Discussions are very informal. The program is hybrid; it meets haft of the time online via zoom or in person at Eagle Heights. Some of the international Spouses bring their toddlers and preschool kids. 1 or 2 volunteers in the teams will watch over the children while parents attend the program. Both Kids and adult meet in the same room.

The mission of Madison International Partners is to promote in-depth cross-cultural exchanges between Americans and internationals and respond to the unique needs of internationals and their families during their transition and stay in Madison.
