Elementary After School Volunteer

Goodman Community Center

In our K-5th grade after school program, Badger Volunteers are assigned to a specific classroom for the entire semester. Volunteers help children with homework completion and other academic supports (tutoring, quiet reading, etc.). They also assist classroom teachers with planned activities, help support the daily schedule/routine, and make the classroom more fun by providing additional classroom engagement opportunities for the children in program! But most importantly volunteer build relationships with the kids and have fun!

Our Mission: We strengthen lives and secure futures. Our Vision: The Goodman Community Center is a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization. In keeping with our mission, our vision creates : - A welcoming community where everyone is invited and encouraged to participate. - A community where children and youth have the knowledge, skills, support and confidence to succeed in all areas of life. - A community where everyone has access to and information about healthy food. - A community where older adults are vital, independent, inspired, and connected. - A community where parents and families are connected, empowered, respected and healthy.
