Morgridge Community Engagement

Be a part of Afterschool Expeditions by helping to facilitate science activities for elementary and middle school students both at select community centers in our area. Duties include leading STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math)-based exploration stations and activities, using educational activities to engage participants in provided curriculum modules. Shifts will take place at pre-determined area community centers in Madison. The programs typically run from 3-4p but volunteer shift will start at 2:00p to budget for travel time to arrive at the venue by 2:30p for setup and depart the event by 5:00pm. Training and teaching support will be provided throughout the semester. Badger Volunteers may be asked to assist with other science event preparation duties.

Society is strengthened by science. We connect with communities to spark imagination.
