Program Assistant

GiGi's Playhouse Madison

Help us lead purposeful, progressive Group Programs for individuals with Down syndrome! Program Assistants serve as the support volunteers for their assigned Group Program and are responsible for assisting the Program Leaders during class with activities, engaging with participants and helping with set-up/clean-up. All volunteers are responsible for greeting and welcoming families to the Playhouse, implementing lesson plan activities, and creating a positive learning environment. All resources and GiGi's-specific trainings are provided by the Playhouse.

GiGi’s Playhouse Madison is a Down Syndrome Achievement Center that offers free education, therapeutic, and career development programming to individuals with Down syndrome and their families. We are one of three Playhouses in Wisconsin; there are 58 GiGi’s Playhouse locations across North America. Our center is a place where individuals with Down syndrome and their families can learn, develop, grow and share. All of our programs are free to our families and are educational and/or therapeutic in nature. GiGi’s Playhouse is something different to everyone – (education, therapy, support, fun, self-esteem) but for all it’s a place to belong.
